Do you find yourself feeling overwhelmed by sounds and lights? If so, you might be experiencing a rest deficit! So often we confuse rest with sleep, leaving us feeling incomplete even when we are “fully rested.” Discover the 7 different types of rest necessary for each of us to reach our fullest potential and learn how they can be used to help each of us become the Prepared Adult Dr. Montessori so often described.
Proposed Audience: Designed for adults carrying an invisible load, this session is for Montessori guides at all levels and administrators who are ready to explore meaningful self-care and discover the types of rest needed to become their best, most prepared selves.

Presenter Bio: Heather White is a Montessori educator, school psychologist, and teacher educator dedicated to supporting sustainable, meaningful work for educators. Her Montessori journey began at Lake Mary Montessori Academy, where she served in a variety of roles including classroom guide (Early Childhood and Lower Elementary), Lower Elementary Coordinator, and Associate Head of School.
Heather holds Early Childhood and Elementary I Montessori credentials, a Master’s degree in Education with a Montessori concentration, and a Specialist’s degree in School Psychology. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, Nationally Certified Montessori Coach, and holds an Anti-Bias, Anti-Racist certification.
Today, Heather works full-time supporting Montessori educators and adult learners through writing, coaching, conference and webinar coordination, alumni leadership, and course instruction. She is passionate about honoring both children and the adults who guide them.
