Sarah Moore Early Childhood Instructional Guide

I discovered my love for Montessori quite by accident! When completing my early childhood education degree, I was assigned to a Montessori school for student teaching. I had no idea what I was getting into, but within a week I was hooked and I never looked back.

My passion, and one of my greatest challenges, is bringing Montessori education to the public school environment and making it accessible for all children. This school year marks my 26th year with Indianapolis Public Schools as a PK/K lead teacher in the Montessori Option. Through the years I have taken on additional roles within the program, serving as a member of the leadership team, facilitating professional development, and being a mentor for new teachers. I hold a BS in Early Childhood Education from Indiana University. I am also a proud graduate of CGMS and received my Early Childhood credential ten years ago. I hold a few hats within CGMS, serving as an Instructional Guide, Practicum Advisor, and Field Consultant. The continued support from CGMS over the years has been an amazing experience and I have gained lifelong friends and mentors along the way.

My greatest pleasure in life is being a mother to my college aged daughter. She is a Montessori girl too! In my spare time you can find me enjoying my porch with a cup of coffee, reading, doing yard work, or-if I’m really lucky-traveling to Lake Michigan to put my toes in the sand and watch a brilliant sunset.
