Martha Carver Leadership Level Director

Martha Carver has been directing the CGMS Leadership Program since its inception. Working with the highly skilled Montessori professionals on this School Leadership Credential has been a privilege. 

 Montessori education has been Martha’s life work for over 30 years. She is a trained early childhood guide with Montessori Education Institute of the Pacific Northwest. During that time, Martha had a focus of obtaining skill sets with children who have exceptionalities, classroom management and retention of students and families . She recently retired after 17 years as the Head of School of Rock Prairie Montessori School in Janesville, Wisconsin. 

Martha graduated from Endicott College with a BA in Liberal Studies with an emphasis on Montessori education. She considers herself a lifelong learner and often attends conferences and seminars as well as being a conference presenter, leader coach and consultant.

Martha is a board member of the International Montessori Council. (IMC) Martha is a consultant with the IMC specializing in coaching of leaders and guides in student and family retention, school communities, board governance and school leadership structures. 

Martha resides in northern Illinois with her husband on their prairie and woods where she is most home in nature.
