For the last 18 years, Mrs. Hill has run Lakeland Montessori Schools in the United States. She was the sole founder of the school in 2002, and led it to become the first American Montessori Society accredited public school for ages 3-15. Mrs. Hill’s vision has been to create a school that is a model of authentic Montessori in the public sector for ages 3-15. A school that serves as a place where Montessorians and governmental agencies can visit, learn from, and share resources with, a school that has been successfully implemented and sustained. Mrs. Hill is passionate about giving as many children as possible the opportunity to experience fully implemented Montessori in public schools.
