Elaine Glier Infant/Toddler Level Director

Elaine Glier is a Practicum Coordinator, Residential Instructor, and Field Consultant for CGMS. In addition, she frequently works as a school consultant and parenting coach. She has enjoyed numerous opportunities to speak at various Montessori conferences and workshops. What she especially appreciates about her work at CGMS is getting to teach Montessori using Montessori principles and techniques.

Prior to working with adult learners, she founded and directed a Montessori parent/infant class and a full-day Toddler Community during her 25-year career at Mountain Laurel Montessori School in Front Royal, Virginia. She studied psychology and early childhood education at George Mason University, and completed her AMI Assistants to Infancy Training at The Montessori Institute in Denver.

She lives in Northern Virginia with her best friend, Gerry, whom she married in 1985. They have one grown daughter who benefited from a Montessori education from early childhood through adolescence. Gardening, reading, and playing with her grand-dog are Elaine’s favorite pastimes.
