Dorothy Harman Instructional Guide
Dorothy Harman is a distinguished Montessori educator with decades of experience and a lifelong dedication to the field. She holds AMS Early Childhood and CGMS Infant and Toddler certifications and is an AMS-certified Teacher Education Instructor. Although retired from public-school Montessori teaching, Dorothy remains deeply engaged in the Montessori community as an Instructional Guide, Practicum Advisor, and Field Consultant for the Center for Guided Montessori Studies, as well as the resident theater arts director at Seeds of Life Montessori Academy.
She also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Nebraska–Kearney and regularly presents at national and international professional conferences.Dorothy holds a BA in Early Childhood Education and two master’s degrees in Curriculum and Instruction, one with an emphasis on Integrative Creative Arts. She is the author of two widely respected books on parent engagement—Intentional Connections: A Practical Guide to Parent Engagement in Early Childhood and Lower Elementary Classrooms and Building Parent-Teacher Partnerships: Intentional Connections for Parents. Her forthcoming children’s book continues this focus on intentional connections, and her work on the Spiritual Preparation of the Teacher is featured in the AMS publication Reconstructing the Constructive Triangle.
