Tamela Mills (She/Her)CGMS is a Secondary Assistant Instructional Guide

A small child and a book club were the catalysts for Tamela Mills’ career as a Montessori guide. Tamela was a newspaper editor looking for something new when her young son, now a teacher too, asked her to teach at his school in 2005. After a year of readings and community, she was immersed in Montessori. Tamela is Head of School at Bridgemont International School and member of the Board of Directors for MEPI (Montessori Educational Programs International). She holds MACTE certifications in primary and adolescent levels, a bachelor’s in science from Purdue, masters’ in Montessori leadership, and is currently pursuing a doctorate at Georgia State University in curriculum & instruction.
