SUMMARY:Webinar: What a Wonderful World: Rebuilding Adolescents’ Connection to Nature with Emily Ross
DESCRIPTION:Description of Webinar: \nWhat happens when adolescents lose consistent access to the natural world—and what shifts when we intentionally bring it back into their daily experience? In a time when so much learning and living happens indoors\, the need for meaningful connection to nature is more important than ever. \nJoin us for an engaging and practical webinar\, “What a Wonderful World: Rebuilding Adolescents’ Connection to Nature\,” presented by Emily Ross. \nGrounded in Montessori’s vision of adolescence and inspired by her reflections on the importance of life in the open air\, this session will explore how we can meaningfully reconnect adolescents with the natural world—even within the realities of modern schedules\, academic demands\, and limited outdoor time. \nRather than focusing on theory alone\, we’ll center practical\, realistic strategies you can bring into your program right away. Together\, we will explore simple and repeatable outdoor experiences that require minimal preparation\, along with ways to engage reluctant adolescents and build authentic buy-in from both learners and guides. \nWe’ll also examine how nature-based experiences can be woven into core curriculum areas\,and how to clearly communicate their value to families. Throughout the session\, we’ll consider how these experiences support reflection\, independence\, social development\, and the adolescent’s need for purposeful engagement with their environment. \nWho should attend: This webinar is intended for Montessori adolescent and upper elementary guides who are seeking practical ways to strengthen students’ connection to nature while enriching both academic and developmental outcomes. \nWhether you are just beginning to integrate outdoor learning or looking to deepen an established practice\, you’ll leave with concrete ideas to help make the natural world a more consistent\, meaningful\, and accessible part of your adolescent program. \nHow to Register For This Event: \nPlease note: You may register at any time before the live event on Monday\, November 9th\, 2026. \nRegistration for the event will close at 6:45 PM ET the day of the live event.  \nIndividual Registration\n\n\nClick For General Registration: $45 per person\n\n\nClick For CGMS Alumni & Faculty: $35 per person\n\n\nPresenter Bio: \nEmily has worked as a Montessori secondary guide at Community Montessori in New Albany\, Indiana\, since 2005. She completed her secondary training with CGMS in January of 2020. She has been working with the CGMS secondary program as an IG and PA since 2023. Additionally\, Emily co-owns a small business\, Crooked Trail Adventures\, hosting adolescents and adults in exploring the natural world through camping and retreat experiences.

SUMMARY:Webinar: Community Architecture: Partnership\, Belonging & Collective Care with Hannah Richardson (2-part series)
DESCRIPTION:Description of Webinar: \nWhat does it take for a school community to truly feel connected—not just organized\, but deeply supported\, inclusive\, and alive with shared purpose? When belonging is intentionally designed rather than left to chance\, it becomes the foundation for both staff well-being and meaningful family partnership. \nJoin us for a two-part webinar series\, “Community Architecture: Partnership\, Belonging & Collective Care\,” presented by Hannah Richardson. \nIn this series\, we’ll explore how Montessori schools can intentionally design the systems and rhythms that sustain strong\, connected communities. Rather than focusing only on individual relationships\, we’ll look at the larger architecture of belonging—how communication flows\, how trust is built over time\, and how daily practices either strengthen or weaken collective care. \nParticipants will examine how to create intentional structures that support staff collaboration and meaningful family engagement. We’ll also explore the role of rituals—both simple and powerful—in reinforcing a shared sense of purpose and belonging across the school environment. \nAcross the two sessions\, you will develop practical tools and frameworks you can immediately apply in your context\, including a clearer understanding of your current community structures and how they function. \nYou will leave with: \n\nA community architecture map of your current belonging structures\nA communication rhythm design for staff and family engagement\nA set of belonging rituals ready to implement in classrooms and across your school\n\nWho Should Attend? This series is designed for Montessori leaders\, including classroom guides\, administrators\, and anyone involved in shaping the culture and systems of a school community. \nHow to Register For This Event: \nPlease note: You may register at any time before the first live event on Monday\, November 16th\, 2026. \nRegistration for the event will close at 6:45 PM ET the day of the live event.  \nIndividual Registration\n\n\nClick For General Registration: $45 per person\n\n\nClick For CGMS Alumni & Faculty: $35 per person\n\n\nPresenter Bio: \nAbout our speaker: Hannah Richardson is the founder of Montessori Makers Group\, an AMI-certified Primary educator\, and a doctoral candidate in Early Childhood Education at Concordia University Chicago\, with over two decades of experience shaping Montessori practice through the lens of equity\, justice\, and deep respect for children. A systems architect and thought leader\, she partners with schools and organizations to build structures that actually work for the humans inside them. Her speaking and published work center what too many in education still treat as optional: anti-bias practice\, inclusive leadership\, and the belief that every child and adult deserves abject respect and unchallenged dignity.

SUMMARY:Webinar: Biology Meets Montessori: How New Research on Child Development and Sensitive Periods Can Help Your Montessori Practice with Deepshikha Kaur
DESCRIPTION:Webinar Description: \n“I can do it myself!” Every parent and teacher has heard it\, often at the worst possible moment\, when we are running late and the shoes are on the wrong feet. Is that stubbornness\, or is something else going on? \nA seed does not need to be taught how to grow. It needs the right soil\, water and light. After 20 years as a Biology teacher\, I see young children in a similar way: they are growing\, and the adults around them can prepare for the conditions. \nIn this session\, I share what biology tells us about how young children grow and learn\, and how it connects to Montessori ideas such as sensitive periods and the prepared environment. I will be honest about what research supports and what is still debated. You will leave with five simple ideas\, and a five-minute observation habit\, to try in your classroom or at home tomorrow. \n  \nHow to Register for this Event\nClick Here To Register for Free \nProfessional Development Certificate: Participants will receive CPD hours upon submission of a reflection survey. \nAbout Deepshikha Kaur :\nDeepshikha is a Biology educator and education consultant from India with over 20 years of classroom experience and more than 5\,000 students taught. She holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) and a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Zoology\, and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). She was invited by the Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET)\, a constituent unit of India’s National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT)\, as a Biology subject expert to record and present lessons for DIKSHA\, the Ministry of Education’s free national learning platform. She was awarded the title of Innovation Ambassador by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell\, and is a recent CGMS graduate. She helps teachers\, schools and parents bring hands-on\, observation-based learning into everyday practice.
