SUMMARY:Webinar: 'Working with Key Children: How do we support our most vulnerable children?' with Elizabeth Slade!
DESCRIPTION:Description of Webinar:   \nKey children are the children who hold the keys to our transformation. They show us where we haven’t yet clarified a procedure and routine\, skills or strategies we haven’t yet learned\, or types of learners we are unfamiliar with and don’t yet understand. They may have big personalities\, have experienced trauma\, or be Neurodiverse learners. Regardless\, they take extra care and consideration from their families and  educators. \nMontessori schools are seeing a rise in the number of Key children they are supporting. How do we work with them within our method? This session will open the conversation and offer strategies and tools specifically designed with Key children in mind. In addition\, it will be an opportunity to come together with others to discuss this timely topic. \nNote: This webinar is applicable for Montessori educators at all levels (Infant/Toddler through Secondary)\, as the principles and strategies shared can be adapted to support Key children across developmental planes. \nHow to Register For This Event: \nPlease note: You may register at any time before the live event on April 22nd\, 2026. \nRegistration for the event will close at 6:45 PM\, 15 minutes before the start time. Be sure to secure your spot early! \nIndividual Registration \n\nClick For General Registration: $45 per person\n\nClick For CGMS Alumni & Faculty: $35 per person\n\n \nPresenter Bio: \nElizabeth G. Slade is an author and educator with thirty-seven years of experience working in Montessori education. She has worked as an elementary teacher\, Montessori coach\, and administrator and spent six years at the National Center for Montessori in the Public Sector\, working with public Montessori schools across the country. She now serves as the Executive Director of Public Montessori in Action International\, an organization created to ensure fully implemented Montessori education for children\, families\, and educators of the global majority. Her book Montessori in Action: Building Resilient Montessori Schools was released in July 2021\, and her historical fiction novel Momentum: Montessori\, a Life in Motion was released in August 2023.
