SUMMARY:Webinar: Observing with Intention: Nurturing Reflective Practice in Early Childhood Education with Debbie Couldrey!
DESCRIPTION:This session explores observation as a deliberate\, reflective practice central to early childhood education in a Montessori environment. Moving beyond passive watching\, we will examine both formal and informal observations as tools for understanding the child\, the environment and the educator’s own role within it. We will explore how observation is shaped by perspective – meaning educators may see different things in the same moment—and why this matters. \nFinally\, the session focuses on how to interpret and use observations to guide decisions\, adapt environments and strengthen our practice\, framing observation as an ongoing\, purposeful process rather than a simple act of watching. \nThis will be an interactive webinar! Come prepared to engage and discuss! \nHow to Register for this Event\nClick Here To Register for Free \nProfessional Development Certificate: Participants will receive CPD hours upon submission of a reflection survey \nAbout Debbie Couldrey\nDebbie Couldrey is a dedicated and passionate Montessori guide with over 20 years of experience in the field of education. Educated in both England and Canada\, Debbie’s journey into Montessori began when she first arrived in Canada and was searching for the perfect school for her daughter. Instantly captivated by the Montessori method she knew she had found her calling. As a seasoned educator Debbie has served as a lead guide\, Instructional Guide with the Center for Guided Montessori Studies\, education coach and Montessori course developer and content editor. She excels in working with adults\, whether it’s coaching teachers to deepen their understanding of Montessori pedagogy or collaborating with families to support their children’s growth.  \nDebbie’s love for education and her commitment to fostering and nurturing an enriching environment for children and empowering families are at the heart of everything she does.  \nA joyful lifelong learner\, Debbie’s motto is Viva les enfants!

SUMMARY:Webinar: 'Working with Key Children: How do we support our most vulnerable children?' with Elizabeth Slade!
DESCRIPTION:Description of Webinar:   \nKey children are the children who hold the keys to our transformation. They show us where we haven’t yet clarified a procedure and routine\, skills or strategies we haven’t yet learned\, or types of learners we are unfamiliar with and don’t yet understand. They may have big personalities\, have experienced trauma\, or be Neurodiverse learners. Regardless\, they take extra care and consideration from their families and  educators. \nMontessori schools are seeing a rise in the number of Key children they are supporting. How do we work with them within our method? This session will open the conversation and offer strategies and tools specifically designed with Key children in mind. In addition\, it will be an opportunity to come together with others to discuss this timely topic. \nNote: This webinar is applicable for Montessori educators at all levels (Infant/Toddler through Secondary)\, as the principles and strategies shared can be adapted to support Key children across developmental planes. \nHow to Register For This Event: \nPlease note: You may register at any time before the live event on April 22nd\, 2026. \nRegistration for the event will close at 6:45 PM\, 15 minutes before the start time. Be sure to secure your spot early! \nIndividual Registration \n\nClick For General Registration: $45 per person\n\nClick For CGMS Alumni & Faculty: $35 per person\n\n \nPresenter Bio: \nElizabeth G. Slade is an author and educator with thirty-seven years of experience working in Montessori education. SUMMARY:Webinar: Inquiry-Based Science for Primary Learners with Ann Epstein!
DESCRIPTION:Description of Webinar:   \nLet’s explore “kitchen chemistry” and hands-on experiments that can be put directly on your shelves for repeated explorations. Experiments often spark curiosity that extends far beyond our primary classrooms. We will investigate surface tension\, water pressure\, carbonation\, and propulsion through a critical thinking lens. Your science area will come alive with simple experiments that go beyond sinking and floating by engaging young learners in surprising and often delightful investigations. \n\n\n\nNote: This webinar is intended for Primary (3-6) guides.\n\n\n\nPresenter Bio: Ann Epstein recently retired as a Professor of Early Childhood Education at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse where she directed the undergraduate ECE program. She currently teaches inclusion courses for Montessori teacher education programs and provides professional development regarding current issues in early childhood education. Ann’s research interests\ninclude supports for young children with disabilities and effective mentoring. Ann was a Montessori teacher with 3 – 6-year-olds before completing her doctoral studies in early childhood special education.
